Electronic Technician – ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) & Non-Destructiv

Job Description…

We are seeking a skilled Electronic Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ROV computer and control systems, as well as remote sensing and electrical systems essential for the operation of the inspection equipment.

Also, as part of the inspection team learn and perform various non-destructive testing tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for underwater technology.

As part of our worldwide navy contracts, we have travel requirements around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:
• Installation & Maintenance:
• Install, configure, and maintain underwater inspection systems.
• Set up and configure NDT systems for underwater use.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all electronic systems and equipment.
• Troubleshooting:
• Diagnose and repair faults in underwater ROV systems and associated electrical components.
• Utilize testing equipment to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with others to improve system performance and reliability.

• Training:
• Training to qualify as a non-destructive testing inspector.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of installations, maintenance work, and repairs.
• Create and update technical manuals and standard operating procedures.
• Provide training and support to ROV personnel on system operation.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of electronic systems, preferably in marine or underwater applications.
• Familiarity with video and audio communication systems technology.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex electronic issues.
• Proficient in the use of electronic testing and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Certification in relevant safety and electrical standards is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
• Navy Veterans (ET, IC, IT, and GM (VLS type) highly recommended to apply).
• Knowledge of computer technologies and their applications.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
• Any NDT (UT, MT, ET, RT and VT) skills.
