Senior Tunneling and Structure Engineering Specialist (CAHSR)

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
– Provide technical advice and support for tunnel ventilation, mechanical, fire protection, and fire life safety engineering throughout planning, design, and construction phases
– Review and interpret reports, studies, and plans to establish engineering positions and compliance with relevant codes
– Participate in studies and research related to tunnel engineering to support various functional areas
– Collaborate with the Tunnel Engineering lead, applying international standards and best practices
– Assist in maintaining design criteria manuals and standard specifications for procurement reference

What is Required (Qualifications):
– Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in a relevant discipline and twenty-five (25) years of work-related experience
– California registered Professional Engineer and/or equivalent international chartered engineer
– Subject matter expert in tunnel ventilation, mechanical, fire protection, and fire life safety engineering
– Ability to understand and interpret international, US, and state engineering codes and technical requirements
– Proven experience in design and construction methods for major projects
